INTRODUCTION
Welcome and thank you for allowing Christian Mix Inet the opportunity to play your music. Our station is operated and programmed by a 23 year veteran of terrestrial broadcasting. We pride ourselves in a good mix of Christian music. We play a little rock, a lot of contemporary songs (hits from the last 30 years and the present). We have a few country songs in the rotation and even play a few Hip Hop (rap) songs. As long as the message is clear, and there is not a conflict to scripture, we will consider playing it.
ROTATION
Our rotation is as follows: As a CRW (Christian Radio Weekly) Indie Reporting station, we may opt to add an independent cut to our "Power Rotation". This rotation is generally the top 40 - 50 songs on the established charts for that week. That rotation would enable a song to be heard three to four times per day.
Generally, an indie song of note (that is a song that is being highlighted or "pushed" to stations) will go into our "Indie" rotation. There might be 20 - 30 songs in that category at any time. This category is rotated 3 to 4 times per hour. That would mean that your song could be played at least twice per day. Possibly three times, depending on the amount of songs in that category. It is rare, but on occasion, I may add another cut in this category, if the artist is really HOT.
If there are additional songs of note, or additional songs that are selected for airplay, they are added to the "album" category. THis is a category that ALL album cuts are placed, that are not in the regular rotation of the station. These songs might be played every two or three days.
All indie music is reviewed weekly. Requests, airplay, charts and other factors go into a decision to "hold" over the cut or to possibly place it in another "regular rotation" category. If a song is really good, and warrants continued airplay, but not necessarily a "hit", it might be placed in the recurrent category. I will continue play a song as long as it doesn't turn into an "irritant". That is not a bad thing. But some songs, you just notice that they have been played often.
REQUESTS
Our requests are sometimes a point of distraction. I encourage you to reference Chritian Mix Inet in any newsletters or promotions. (Logos are available if requested). I encourage you to link to us on your website. (This is by no means required). Our URL is: www.christianmixinet.com.
I also encourage you to ask your fans to request your music. But be forewarned -- our request system is build to accomodate certain restrictions. We are a licensed broadcast station. We are licensed through Loudcity and Live365. Our licensing reuires a delay of 60 minutes before a request can be played. It also required the same limits on playing the same artist or album cut. The broadcast software we use will limit requests to keep us in accordance with our licensing agreements.
The software also only allows 2 requests from any specific URL in a 24 hour period. This is to allow honest requests, but also to prevent "slamming" from an over zealous fan (or artist). If there is any evidence of "slamming" I will remove the artist and song from the request list.
We encourage your fans to request your music, but be aware of the restrictions.
